I hold a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Oklahoma, where I was one of the few to be awarded the honor of Best Presentation at Symposium for my poetry, as well as a creative scholarship for my fiction. I also served as head editor of fiction and editor of poetry at UCO’s literary magazine, the New Plains Review, for two years, and was a member of the editing staff for the Central Dissent, a magazine focused on gender and sexuality.
