Developmental Editing

Developmental editing, sometimes referred to as a manuscript critique, is for addressing plot structure, character development, worldbuilding, and the like. This is the type of edit you want to get if you’re concerned with the big picture of your work, as well as the more conceptual parts. As the name implies, it’s about developing your story, as opposed to grammar or mechanics.

Your developmental edits will include in-document comments, which are provided either in Google Docs or a Word document, depending on your preference, as well as a full editorial letter that will provide bigger picture feedback for the work as a whole.

There is a $50 minimum charge for this service. Orders of $150 or more qualify for a payment plan, which we will work out while negotiating the details of the service.
